Your Tuesday starts with study.
and ends with Student Night.
Looking for student events in Birmingham that give you more than one reason to turn up? Every Tuesday, AQ Foodhall becomes a full student day: study space and coffee in the morning, university societies and gaming in the afternoon, social activities and open mic after classes, then AQ Student Night in the evening.
Come to work. Come to meet people. Come to compete. Come to perform. Come to eat. Come to stay for the night.

One venue, a full day.
AQ Student Day is not only an evening event. The point is that students can use the venue differently across the day. You can study in the morning, meet your society in the afternoon, stay for a mixer after class and finish the night with entertainment. It is all without changing venue.
AQ Foodhall is an alcohol-free, community and family-friendly venue, giving students, societies and organisers a different kind of social setting in Birmingham. That makes the page especially relevant for international students, faith-based societies, cultural societies, university groups and students who want social experiences that are not built around alcohol.
Come for one block, or stay all day.
Study, Coffee & Campus Life
Start Tuesday with a productive reset. Bring your laptop, grab coffee or breakfast, meet friends, work on assignments or use the space for group study. The morning block can also include student support stalls, university information and useful campus-facing services.
Societies, Gaming & Competition
The afternoon is built for student communities, university societies and competitive fun. This is the strongest daytime block for societies that want to recruit, host an activity, build their membership or bring a university community into AQ.
Student Social, Open Mic & Mixers
After classes, Tuesday becomes more social. Meet people outside your course, join a quiz, try a game, get on the mic, take part in a challenge or just come for food and atmosphere.
AQ Student Night
Tuesday night is where the full student-day energy comes together. AQ Student Night can include DJs, student performers, karaoke, open mic, society takeovers, competitions, giveaways and major football when appropriate. For Freshers and premium nights, the programme is designed to scale into a much bigger student experience.

Have a student audience or event idea?
AQ is building Tuesdays around student participation, not just passive attendance. We want university societies, student organisers, cultural groups, course communities, performers, gaming groups and campus partners who can bring a strong idea and actively help grow the audience.

More than a room
AQ gives student organisers a venue where study, food, gaming, society activity, social experiences and evening entertainment can sit together. That creates more opportunities to recruit members, bring new students into your community, run a competition, host a takeover or turn a society activity into a wider campus event. The long-term goal is to build towards active university societies participating every Tuesday, making AQ a recurring student destination rather than a one-off event space.
